How Much Cash Reserves Should I Keep On A Property You Manage For Me?
Ideally, you should have 3-6 months of reserves on a property we manage for you. At a minimum, you need at least 1-2 months of reserves. You need these reserves in case of unforeseen repair costs or finding of a new tenant. Even though we average 30-45 days to find a new tenant, you will still have at least 1 month of no payments coming in on your account. Please keep this in mind!
